Christmas Steve and Sleeping Judy: Hilarious Holiday Moments You’ll Relate To.
‘Twas the night before Christmas, and my friend’s toddler padded into the living room, rubbing her sleepy eyes.
Who Is Christmas Steve?
“Is he here yet?” she asked, barely awake.
“Who, Sweetie? You mean Santa Claus? No, Santa won’t get here until you’re sound asleep,” Mom replied.
“Not Santa,” she said, annoyed. “Christmas Steve.”
“Who?”
“Christmas Steve.”
“Who’s Christmas Steve, Honey?”
“I don’t know, Mommy. But at the store, Daddy said we needed to buy lots of wine before everyone got here for our Christmas Steve party.”
Holiday Mix-Ups: Christmas Steve and Sleeping Judy
During our holiday party, my little daughter also wandered into the living room.
My friend Bob saw her first and walked over.
“Good morning, Sleeping Beauty,” he said with a warm smile. “How are you?”
She glared up at him through her sleep-tousled curls and stomped her little foot.
“I am NOT Sleeping Judy. My name’s Ali!”
As the holidays approach, I hope you enjoy moments like these—full of humor, love, good friends, and maybe even being able to laugh at the occasional mix-up.
Thank you for reading, sharing your thoughts, and engaging with me. Sometimes, writing these posts feels like yelling into a chasm and waiting for a response, even if it’s only an echo. So whether you agree or disagree with what I’ve written and said, I’ve appreciated every conversation with you this year.
