Lots of advertising agencies talk about being courageous. And some even say they’re looking for courageous clients.

With that in mind, here’s a salute to Todd David, CEO of LifeLock.

Todd’s company provides online protection against identity theft. Todd promotes his service by printing his actual social security number in print ads and on the web. (It’s 457-55-5462, by the way.)

Does LifeLock actually work? Who knows? But Todd’s brilliant marketing campaign and his willingness to publish his SSN certainly suggests that his product is for real.

So the next time your agency crows about their bravery, ask them about Todd and challenge them to put their money where their mouths are, too.
