Know Like Trust
You’ve probably heard the old saying, “People do business with folks they know, like, and trust.”
The way people say it, Knowliketrust sounds like one word. A single thought. Something that happens all at once.
Knowliketrust.
But here’s the thing: The “know, like, and trust” mantra is made up of THREE VERY SEPARATE COMPONENTS…
Customer Service.
Perhaps the most essential element of marketing and branding is to know your customer. Companies spend hundreds of millions of dollars trying to understand what their buyers like and dislike, what motivates them to purchase or to turn away, what makes them happy, and what makes them unhappy.

What is Web 3?
What is Web 3? Believe it or not, there is no universally agreed-upon definition for Web 3.0…
Roughly stated, Web 3.0 is a concept that describes the future direction of the Internet, focusing on enhanced user experiences, advanced technologies, and a more intelligent and personalized web. It generally involves the integration of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, blockchain, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) to create more sophisticated and interconnected online experiences. Web 3.0 aims to provide users with a more decentralized, secure, and personalized web environment.”
I’m sure you’ve already realized that none of that ambiguity means that there aren’t scores of engineers, marketers, and futurists working on Web 3.0, selling Web 3.0, and prognosticating on Web 3.0…

Is Santos a Synonym for Lying?
NY Democrat Rep. Ritchie Torres put forward the Stop Another Non-Truthful Office Seeker Act, which would require candidates to disclose their background under oath so that they can be punished for lying. In case you didn’t notice, the act’s title is an acronym that spells SANTOS. If this goes through, it will turn George Santos’ name into a synonym for deception and betrayal forever, just as history has done for Judas Iscariot and Benedict Arnold.
Being Bad at Something Good.
Kiss understood something important: Their audience was less concerned with the musicians’ rational virtuosic abilities and more interested in the emotional connections they were making.
Or, as I say every time I’m up on stage, “Good brands make people feel good. Great brands make people feel good about themselves.”

Why Do You Blog?
There is one simple answer to the question, “Why do you blog?
I am dedicated to writing because it keeps me in touch with wonderful people like you.
Thank you for being part of my beloved community.
Graceful Degradation.
The key to handling unexpected challenges and maintaining a certain level of performance when things don’t go as planned is to be prepared, adaptable, and resilient. This requires forethought and the ability to prioritize our functioning features into three piles: Essential, Good-to-have, and Non-essential. The way to do this is with “Graceful Degradation.”
Innovation.
Everyone seems to agree that innovation is a good and necessary thing. But how many people understand what innovation really is? Is innovation a new spin on an old idea? Is innovation simply a new combination of old components? Or is innovation a bold new concept that no one’s thought of before? And is innovation good and valuable on its own, or does it need to be applicable and monetizable before it’s considered worthwhile?
Shameless Selling.
Shameless Selling is not a pejorative explanation of a sales pitch, but an explanation that when you believe in what you’re doing with all your heart, there’s no shame in selling it.
Conmen Salesmen and Holy Men.
If some random blogger knew with certainty when economic trends were going to shift – and how to profit from that news – they wouldn’t waste their time writing blogs trying to frighten you. Instead, they’d be investing their own money or cashing the Apple stock they bought in the late nineties.
Conmen, salesmen, and holy men all want the same thing – to get you to do something for them that you might not be willing to do otherwise.
The Tools Change. The Rules Remain The Same.
My dad was a visionary businessman with rule business fundamentals he believed applied to all businesses. Since my father passed away, I’ve dubbed his adages Lessons From Lenny, and I think about them often.
My father believed that all businesses required careful control of the same six Ms regardless of what industry you were in.
Something You’ve Never Done Before.
Because all those times I did something I’ve never done before worked out so well, I decided to use the Do Something You’ve Never Done Before strategy for my business too. So, this month we’re going to launch two strategic roundtable campaigns at the same time.
How will launching both programs at the same time work out? I don’t know yet. I do know that every time I do something I’d never done before, I learn all sorts of new things that I can apply to many other parts of my life.
I’m confident it’ll be the same for you.
How about you do something you’ve never done before and join me in one of my RoundTables?
The Sophomore Slump.
Artists as diverse as Metallica, Judas Priest, Mastodon, Ed Sheeran, Gnarls Barkley, and so many more have all been criticized for releasing second efforts that didn’t live up to their original triumphs. And no matter what style of music you enjoy, the Internet is full of personal lists of Sophomore Slumps in your chosen genre. But some artists, like Elton John, actually put out second records that were better than their firsts.
What is the Sophomore Slump and how does it affect you and your business?
Brainstorm: Do You Suffer From an I Infection?
How do you feel when you have a brainstorm?
Something you never thought of before suddenly becomes clear and powerful and takes over your consciousness. And if the idea is huge, it becomes all you can think about.
Ironically, this big, big, big brainstorm can often be something tiny, a simple tweak of something tried, true, and already taken for granted.
If you have had this experience, you know what happened to me on Friday.
Let me tell you about it:
How To Build a Blog.
After writing and posting over 800 blogs, I decided to give you insight into how I do what I do and to help you create your own outreach program. I’ve shared my experiences, successes and failures, the metrics of my work, the various technologies I’ve used, and the different people and resources that have helped me build a blog. My fondest wish is that you find these posts interesting and instructive.
